Terms & Privacy Policy

Below you will find the terms and conditions you agree to by using MoneyCubbi.
Please read them carefully and ensure you understand the content before signing up.

MoneyCubbi: Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 26 March 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MoneyCubbi mobile application, related services, and any content or features made available through them (collectively, the “App”).
By downloading, accessing, or using MoneyCubbi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If MoneyCubbi is made available to you through Apple’s App Store, you also acknowledge that these Terms are entered into between you and [Legal Name of Developer / Company] (“MoneyCubbi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and not with Apple. We, and not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the App.
To access some or all features of MoneyCubbi, you may need to create or use an account through one of our supported sign-in methods, such as email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In.
You are responsible for:
– providing accurate account information;
– maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and device security;
– all activity that occurs under your account; and
– notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
2. What MoneyCubbi Does
MoneyCubbi is a personal finance organization and tracking tool. Depending on the features you use, the App may allow you to:
  • track bank accounts, balances, budgets, transactions, bills, debts, savings goals, store credit, income, and recurring expenses;
  • upload or attach receipt images and other finance-related images;
  • add tags, categories, payees, payday information, and related records;
  • receive reminders and notifications you choose to enable; and
  • use optional device features such as Face ID, location services, speech recognition, camera or photo library access, and local search/location suggestions.
MoneyCubbi does not provide banking services, brokerage services, lending, payment processing, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, or regulated financial advisory services.
3. No Financial, Tax, Legal, or Investment Advice
MoneyCubbi is provided for personal information management, organization, and general informational purposes only.
The App does not provide professional financial, investment, tax, accounting, insurance, credit repair, debt counseling, or legal advice. Any insights, calculations, summaries, projections, reminders, or analytics shown in the App are informational only and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
You are solely responsible for:
  • verifying the accuracy of your records;
  • making your own financial decisions;
  • paying bills, debts, taxes, or other obligations on time; and
  • obtaining advice from qualified professionals where appropriate.
You should not rely on MoneyCubbi as your sole source of truth for financial records, payment deadlines, or financial decision-making.
4. License and Permitted Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use MoneyCubbi on compatible devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
  • copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, or exploit the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law;
  • modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, assign, or otherwise transfer the App or your rights to use it;
  • use the App in a way that interferes with, disrupts, or harms the App, our systems, or other users; or
  • use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive purposes.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us and our licensors.
5. Your Content and Data
You may submit, upload, store, or otherwise make available information and content through the App, including financial records, account names, balances, transaction details, receipt images, savings goal images, notes, and other materials (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, back up, and improve the App for you.
You represent and warrant that:
  • you own or control the rights necessary to provide your User Content;
  • your User Content does not violate any law or the rights of any third party; and
  • your User Content does not contain material that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content. However, you are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of the information you submit.
6. Privacy
Your use of MoneyCubbi is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal information. To the extent there is any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding personal data handling, the Privacy Policy will control for those issues.

7. Optional Device Permissions and Security Features
Certain features require your permission or device support.
For example:
  • notifications may be used for reminders and alerts;
  • location access may be used to help tag or identify transaction locations;
  • photo library or camera access may be used to upload receipt or related images;
  • speech recognition may be used for voice search; and
  • Face ID or other device authentication may be used to help lock or unlock the App.
You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings, but some features may not function properly as a result.
While we may provide optional security features, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, credentials, and backups.
8. Third-Party Services
MoneyCubbi may rely on or integrate with third-party services, platforms, and SDKs, including identity providers, cloud hosting/storage providers, analytics providers, mapping/location services, or other infrastructure providers.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to those third parties’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, their availability, or their independent data handling practices.
Without limiting the above, the App may use services from providers such as Apple, Google, Firebase, and other analytics or infrastructure providers to support authentication, storage, notifications, analytics, and related functionality.
9. Availability, Updates, and Changes
We may add, remove, suspend, replace, or modify features of the App at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee that:
  • the App will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, or error-free;
  • any particular feature will continue to exist;
  • data will never be lost, delayed, corrupted, or unavailable; or
  • the App will be compatible with all devices, operating systems, or future software versions.
We may release updates, bug fixes, patches, or upgrades, and some features may stop working properly if you do not install them.
10. Data Accuracy and Backups
MoneyCubbi depends heavily on information you enter or upload.
You acknowledge that:
  • outputs are only as accurate as the data provided;
  • reminders and calculations may fail or be delayed;
  • cloud sync, uploads, or storage may be interrupted; and
  • accidental deletion, corrupted data, or sync conflicts may occur.
You are responsible for reviewing your information and keeping your own copies or backups of any data that is important to you.
 
11. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if:
  • you violate these Terms;
  • we believe your use creates risk, legal exposure, or harm to us, the App, or others;
  • we are investigating suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity; or
  • we discontinue the App or a portion of it.
Where the App provides account deletion functionality, deletion may permanently remove some or all associated content and records, subject to technical limitations, backup retention, security needs, legal requirements, and our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, interfaces, and other non-user content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.
Except for the limited license granted in these Terms, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
 
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
Without limiting the foregoing, we disclaim all warranties relating to:
  • merchantability;
  • fitness for a particular purpose;
  • non-infringement;
  • accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness;
  • uninterrupted availability;
  • security or freedom from viruses or harmful code; and
  • compatibility with your device, network, or operating system.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
 
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MoneyCubbi and its affiliates, owners, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, business opportunities, or financial loss, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App.
This includes, without limitation, claims arising from:
  • inaccurate or incomplete financial information;
  • missed reminders or payment deadlines;
  • budgeting, debt, or savings decisions;
  • data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access;
  • third-party service interruptions; or
  • device, network, or software failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
  • the amount you paid us, if any, for use of the App in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
  • USD $50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
 
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MoneyCubbi and its affiliates, owners, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
  • your User Content;
  • your use or misuse of the App;
  • your violation of these Terms; or
  • your violation of any law or third-party right.
 
16. Apple-Specific Terms
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, you also acknowledge and agree that:
  • these Terms are between you and us, and not with Apple;
  • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide maintenance or support services for the App;
  • in the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the App to you if applicable, but to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App;
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession or use of the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation; and
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the date above, through the App, on our website, or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
 
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of South Africa without regard to conflict of laws rules.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gqeberha, South Africa, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If you want, this section can instead be replaced with an arbitration clause and class action waiver after review by legal counsel.

20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms properly presented to you within the App, form the entire agreement between you and MoneyCubbi regarding your use of the App, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
